Why we started this
SellerLaunch is an independent team of online-selling mentors. We started this program because most "online business" information falls into one of two buckets: overwhelming technical documentation written for people who already sell, or hype-driven content promising income that the person selling the course never has to deliver.
We wanted a third option: plain-language guidance for complete beginners, honest about the work involved, from people who have set up and run small social-commerce stores themselves — including the products that flopped.
What we actually do
We are an education and mentorship service. Concretely, that means:
- Free written guides (see our Seller Guides) covering the full beginner path: product research, sourcing, store setup, listings, content and early operations.
- A free, no-obligation walkthrough call/chat where we explain how a beginner store works and answer your specific questions.
- Ongoing mentorship for people who decide to continue with us: step-by-step guidance while you research products, set up your store, publish listings and create your first content.
We are not a marketplace, an employer, an investment platform, or an agency that runs a store for you. You build and own your store; we teach and advise.
What we deliberately don't promise
- We won't tell you to spend money you can't afford to lose — and we'll say so when we think a planned spend is too risky for your situation.
- We won't pretend a saturated product is an opportunity to keep a conversation going.
- If after the free walkthrough we think this path isn't right for you, we'll tell you that too.
Independence
We are an independent training service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok Inc. or any marketplace. Platform names such as "TikTok" and "TikTok Shop" are trademarks of their respective owners and appear on this site only to describe the kinds of platforms our guidance covers. The principles we teach apply across social-commerce and marketplace platforms generally.
Who this is for
- Complete beginners in the US, UK, Canada or Australia who want to start a small online store as a side project or first business.
- People comfortable using a smartphone and following step-by-step instructions — no e-commerce, design or video experience needed.
- People with realistic expectations: a modest startup budget they can afford, and the patience to treat the first months as learning.
If that sounds like you, start with the free guides, or request the free walkthrough when you're ready to talk.
